At Comindex, we would like to highlight one of the most versatile and durable blue pigments in our portfolio: DCL Blue 60. Based on Indanthrone technology, this pigment combines outstanding chemical and thermal resistance with a deep colour intensity and stability, making it ideal for both water-borne and solvent-based systems.

Manufactured by our represented company DCL, Blue 60 (known as Indanthrone Blue) delivers consistent quality in applications where colour fastness and technical reliability are essential.

The DCL Blue 60 family comprises three quality grades with different levels of transparency and shade, adaptable to a wide range of formulations:

  • Blue 60 A3R: medium transparent shade, red–violet undertone, excellent balance between strength and transparency.
  • Blue 60 A3RN: high chroma and excellent colour strength, with a pronounced red–violet flop.
  • Blue 60 A2RU: the most transparent and highest in colour intensity in the range, with neutral flop and maximum depth.

Key technical advantages:

  • Outstanding chemical resistance (rating 5 against water, solvents, alkalis and acids).
  • Excellent light fastness (8) and weather resistance (5).
  • Thermal stability up to 200 °C.
  • Low oil absorption, facilitating dispersion and reducing milling time.

Recommended applications:
Automotive applications, industrial coatings, plastic masterbatches and high-performance inks.

DCL Blue 60 (P.B. 60) remains a benchmark on the market owing to its reliability, resistance and colour purity. If you are looking for a stable, intense and long-lasting blue, this range continues to provide the performance your formulation requires.
