GALASTER EL is a bio-based solvent manufactured by GALACTIC, a company that uses renewable raw materials (lactic acid) in order to produce its bio-based solvents.
GALASTER EL is a bio-based solvent that may be used instead of CFC-113 in the process of manufacturing printed circuits and as an EBD (EDGE BEAD REMOVAL) cleaning solvent in semi-conductor manufacturing processes.

GALASTER EL may be used as:

a cleaning solvent in the manufacture of circuit boards to remove welding deposits.

GALASTER EL may be used as an EBD solvent:

to remove photoresist beads
to clean photoresist accumulations on the edges of wafers
to clean wafer rinsing equipment
as a photoresist resin thinner; high-purity solvents are required and Galaster EL provides the same benefits as other solvents used in the sector, such as EEGEA , PGMEA.
