Replace some of the TiO2 in your plastic formulations

Comindex is broadening the range of products offered thanks to a new client who works with 100% natural, biodegradable calcium sulphate anhydrite with the aim of partially replacing the amount of TiO2 in different applications whilst improving the properties of the product.
Its main applications consist of white masterbatches of polyolefins (LDPE, HDPE, PP), PA6 compounds and biopolymers such as PBAT.
The recommended grade for white masterbatches of polyolefins as a TiO2 extender is Ti-ExR 04, likewise providing the following benefits:
Maintains a high level of whiteness and brightness
Exerts less wear on machinery due to its low Mohs hardness
Reduces costs by partially replacing TiO2
Offers resistance to weak acids, UV light and high temperatures
Has good mechanical impact resistance
We also recommend this product as filler for biopolymers such as PBAT. Its incorporation allows the amount of raw materials and production cost to be reduced without compromising the properties of the product. Accordingly, the price gap between these degradable biopolymers and traditional LDPE ones is smaller, making its use easier in applications where cheaper starting materials are required.
For the application of PA6 compounds, the product we recommend is FIL 04. In addition to reducing starting materials costs, its incorporation allows the following improvements to be obtained in the end products:
Increased thermal stability and reduced degradation of PA6
Increased tensile strength and rigidity
Reduced wear on machinery
Maintenance of a high level of whiteness and brightness
