Next week, Comindex and BYK will be hosting the first coatings seminars organised this year. If you and/or anyone from your company is interested in attending, simply fill out the form that can be found in the link of the registration button.

These seminars, offered free-of-charge by Comindex and BYK year after year, offer an ideal meeting point for coatings experts and are intended to provide users with advice about common problems in coating formulation.
 

This year’s programme is structured as follows:

09.30 – Introduction and presentation

09.40 – Wax additives in coating formulation (BYK
Understanding the performance of waxes in coatings is vital when it comes to choosing the right one. In this presentation we will set out the fundamental principles to understanding how these types of additives work.

11.00 – New products from BYK

11.15 – Coffee Break

11.45 – New defoamers and air release additives for environmentally-friendly coatings (Comindex)
We will be presenting a series of new defoamers and air release additives that can be used without limitations for eco label coatings.

12.45 – Decorative paints with added value (Comindex)
We will be addressing the use of photocatalytic and antimicrobial additives for the formulation of paints with those properties. Lastly, we will be introducing those in attendance to the topic of resins that help in the development of coatings with higher polishing / burnishing resistance, an excellent barrier effect, high resistance to lotions and greases and early water resistance.

13.15 – New products from Comindex


For this edition, to be held in the offices of Comindex, representing BYK will be Pilar Casas and Jaume Figueras and representing Comindex Tais Arp,  Roger Escámez and Jordi Peracaula.

The working language for the seminars will be Spanish and they are open to all experts from manufacturers of paints and other coatings.
