Give your coatings a matt effect and achieve high performance

Distributed by Comindex, the range of FINMATT products are powder-based matting agents for coatings and paints, based on combinations of silica and polymeric microspheres. This combination of inorganic and organic particles provides not only an effective matt finish, but also increases chemical and mechanical resistance and allows various tactile finishes to be obtained.

There are various grades available which are distinguished according to their particle size and fineness, the feel they provide the finish with (smooth, silky, flexible, etc.), and the level of matting effect achieved.

Examples include:
 

  • FINMATT 121V – Average particle size: 8 microns, soft feel, anti-slip properties, high matting effect.
  • FINMATT 152V – Average particle size: 7.5 microns, silky/soft feel, high scratch and abrasion resistance, high matting effect.
  • FINMATT 166V – Large particle size: 37 microns, coarse feel, medium-high matting effect, scratch and abrasion resistance, does not affect chemical resistance.

Coatings formulated with FINMATT have numerous applications: varnishes for parquet and wood flooring, furniture, laminates, plastic and glass coatings, packaging inks, etc., and they can be used in any type of system (water-based, solvent-based, 100% solids, UV-cured).
