High performance additives and solutions from BYK-Chemie at K 2019

When it comes to fully exploiting the potential of modern compounds and optimising their manufacture, using special additives can be a huge help. As one of the main global suppliers of additives for coatings and plastics with extensive experience in the field of compounds, BYK will be presenting its latest developments and technical solutions at the upcoming world plastics sector K trade fair to be held in Dusseldorf between 16 and 23 October.

A range of products will be presented at the exhibition, including the following:

  • BYK-MAX CT 4260 – Additive developed for halogen-free flame-retardant thermoplastic-based formulations. The additive makes it possible to substantially reduce the mineral content (of, for example, aluminium or magnesium hydroxide). This enhances the production process and mechanical properties of the end product.
  • BYK-MAX CT 4270 – Functional filler that is used in lower volumes than regular fillers in PP compounds, substantially reducing the weight of parts.
