Natural and sustainable effect pigments

Natural and sustainable effect pigments

Monday, 15 April, 2024

Do you want to improve the sustainability of your plastics? Then use natural particles!

Effect pigments are one way of enhancing the natural appearance of your plastics. In addition, if they are of natural origin and suitable for food contact – as is the case with EKO-flex particles – they can serve as the perfect ally, lending sustainable or recycled products a natural appearance.

These natural particles come from waste from the food industry. Thanks to the special production process implemented by the manufacturer METAFLAKE they are available in two colours – black and caramel – and in a range of particle sizes.

EKO-flex particles come in pellet form, pre-dispersed in 30% PE wax, making them easy to handle, to dose in an extruder and to disperse in polyolefins.

The EKO-flex range complements METAFLAKE’s extensive portfolio of aluminium pigments (Pellex, Pellex Chrome, METABRITE, etc.). All of this manufacturer’s pigments are produced by means of their patented solvent-free process and they are available in all particle sizes for all manner of applications.
