Our contribution to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Monday, 14 February, 2022

On 11 February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science was celebrated. This celebration comes from the idea of providing and drawing attention to female role models for generations of girls.
Although we have been able to reduce barriers for women to access the scientific field in more developed countries, today there are still women who encounter hurdles to developing scientific careers in some countries.

Furthermore, the lack of female role models within the STEM world prevents young women from identifying with them.

At Comindex we have joined the celebration and we are also increasing the visibility of this day by posting on our social media (LinkedIn and Twitter).

We have prepared a video where some of our female colleagues – Tais Arp (Director of Commercial-Technical Advice), Marina Martínez (Commercial Technical Advisor) and Sílvia del Rincón (QSHE Manager) – give their accounts and experience as women in the field of STEM. With this video, they hope and we hope to inspire new generations of women.

We are also proud to state that more than 50% of our staff is made up of women (including senior positions). As such, we demonstrate a commitment to offering equal opportunities for all.

We hope that all of you will join this campaign. For a female scientific future!
