Your solution for outdoor painting and curing issues

With the arrival of Winter, issues with outdoor painting and drying begin to emerge. Temperatures of under 10 degrees and conditions of high humidity can severely impact the formation of film with water-based coatings, plasters or paints.

At Comindex, for some time we have benefitted from a solution to problems of these types; namely, ALBOrapid 22. It is an APEO-free aqueous solution of polyacrylate that speeds up the drying of surfaces, particularly in adverse conditions with low temperatures (5-10ºC) and substantial relative humidity.

Now, thanks to Alberdingk Boley, we are able to introduce you to a new additive: ALBOrapid 11. It is an enhanced APEO-free aqueous solution, more reactive than ALBOrapid 22, to further speed up and improve the curing of acrylic dispersions, providing early resistance to rain. ALBOrapid 11 should be used as a post-additive and must be added to the paint just before application. It works with any standard acrylic dispersion containing ammonia as a neutralising agent. However, if we want to enhance its effectiveness further still, ALBOrapid 11 can be used with the AC 2008 dispersion designed by Alberdingk Boley in order to tackle these issues. This aqueous dispersion has a minimum film-forming temperature of 0°C and a high solid content (60%). Also, due to its excellent weather resistance and colour stability, it serves as an ideal candidate for outdoor use.
